Yuan'an Luyuan (远安鹿苑)/Yuan’an Yellow Tea is a kind of Chinese Yellow Tea Originating in Yuan'an County, Hubei Province. It gets its name from Lu Yuan temple. And Lu Yuan temple sits in the foot of Yun Men Mountain, which has a height of 120 meters. The weather is moderation, the rain is abundant, the soil is fertile and loose, the tea plant flourishing.
Yuan’an Lu Yuan tea is one kind of tribute tea and it almost has 750 years history. It was also recorded that the yellow tea titled by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty enjoyed enduring popularity, and is regarded as famous Chinese tea and intangible cultural heritage. Due to the low popularity rate in the market, yellow tea is extreme precious as a minority tea species.
The time of picking Lu Yuan tea is between Qing Ming and Gu Yu, the standard is one bud with one leaf or two leaves. the leaves must be tender and uniform.
 The main processes of making Lu Yuan tea include: reducing green、frying second-green、piling、pick and roasting.

Yellow tea 黃茶 usually implies a special tea processed similarly to green tea, but with a slower drying phase, where the damp tea leaves are allowed to sit and yellow. The tea generally has a very yellow-green appearance and a smell different from both white tea and green tea. The smell is sometimes mistaken for black if the tea is cured with other herbs, but similarities in taste can still be drawn between yellow, green and white teas.
It can, however, also describe high-quality teas served at the Imperial court, although this can be applied to any form of imperially-served tea.
