Green Peony Tea is a special green tea made in unique techniques, which is produced in Huangshan mountain tea areas in An Hui province.
This hand-tied Green Peony Tea is comprised of only young buds grown deep in the mountains among fresh water springs and cool mists.The highest quality leaf and bud sets are picked in the early spring, carefully arranged in the shape of a flower, and then tied with a silk thread. the green peony tea is carefully hand made by experienced tea artisans who select and arrange the best large tea buds and tie them with a silk thread into the shape of a peony flower.
Under the condition of moderate-degree ferment-kiilling of fresh tea leaves, to conduct a comparative experiment of the extent of twisting, the posit n of binding, pressure-adding and mould-making, which have great impact on the figuration and endoplasm of green peony. As the result indicates, 5min twisting is necessary for a tight and straight shape. For the two or three-leaf e buds of twisted leaves, a binding under the second leave is essential to form a light and good-looking figuration of green peony. In the context of the formation, 50kg of pressure are required for flat and tight figuration and fine taste.
Green Peony is air-dried and roasted, producing a delicate flavor that is suitable for drinking throughout the day. May be steeped multiple times.When covered with hot water, the leaves "blossom" to reveal a sweetly floral aroma and a delicate and smooth flavor.
